Decipher Survey Privacy Policy

At FocusVision We Respect the Privacy of Our Clients and Their Customers.

“FocusVision Worldwide Inc., and its affiliates and subsidiaries, including Decipher, KinesisPanel, and Revelation, collectively (“FVW”) are committed to protecting your privacy.” In order to review FVW’s full Privacy Policy please click on the following link http://www.focusvision.com/privacy-statement/. In general, FVW’s Survey Privacy Policy governs the collection, use, retention and security of information gathered from survey respondents and other on-line users. FVW does not disclose any personally identifiable information about survey respondents to third parties, except in reporting the survey responses to FVW’s clients or as required by law or legal process. Personally identifiable information means information that individually identifies you, such as your name, address, email address or social security number.

What Kind of Information Does FocusVision Collect?

FVW collects a wide range of information about survey respondents depending on the information needs of our clients requesting the surveys. For example, survey respondents may be requested to provide certain personally identifiable, financial or demographic information, as well as specific opinions about a variety of goods and services. Responses to all survey questions are completely voluntary. A survey respondent should only provide responses to questions they are comfortable answering and survey respondents may decline to answer any survey question.

What Does FocusVision Do With Respondent Information?

FVW reports information gathered through the survey (demographic data, preferences, etc.) to FVW’s clients. Any information you voluntarily disclose in the survey will be provided to the commissioner of the survey. FVW does not disclose a survey respondent’s personally identifiable information to any clients or third parties other than the commissioner of the survey.

In addition, we may disclose personal information that we collect or you provide:

  • To our subsidiaries and affiliates (including but not limited to Decipher, Inc., Revelation, Inc. etc.)
  • To contractors, service providers and other third parties we use to support our business ( and who are bound by contractual obligations to keep personal information confidential and use it only for the purposes for which we disclose it to them).
  • To a buyer or other successor in the event of a merger, divestiture, restructuring, reorganization, dissolution or other sale or transfer of some or all of FVW’s assets, whether as a going concern or as part of bankruptcy, liquidation or similar proceeding, in which personal information held by FVW about our users is among the assets transferred.
  • For any other purpose disclosed by us when you provide the information.
  • With your consent.
  • To comply with any court order, law or legal process, including to respond to any government or regulatory request.

What Additional Information Does FocusVision Collect From Survey Respondents?

FVW’s servers automatically recognize a survey respondent’s domain name and IP addresses (the number assigned to computers on the Internet). No personal information about a survey respondent is revealed in this process. FVW may also gather anonymous “traffic data” that does not personally identify a survey respondent, but that may be helpful for marketing purposes or for improving the services FVW offers. From time to time, FVW may use the standard “cookies” feature of major browser applications that allows FVW to store a small piece of data on your computer about your interaction with our website. FVW does not set any personally identifiable information in cookies, nor do we employ any data capture mechanisms on our website other than cookies. Cookies help us learn which areas of our website are useful and which areas need improvement. You can choose whether to accept cookies by changing the settings on your browser. However, if you choose to disable this function, your experience at our website may be diminished and some features may not work as they were intended.

Children under the Age of 13

Our surveys are not intended for children under 13 years of age, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we learn we have collected or received personal information from a child under 13 without verification of parental consent, we will delete that information. If you believe we might have any information from or about a child under 13, please contact us at the address provided below.
